January 12, 1930 – November 3, 2020

Patricia Anne DeCambra passed away peacefully at the Eastern Montana Veteran’s Home in Miles City on November 3, 2020.

Pat was born the daughter of Joseph and Theresa Harts in Pittsburgh, PA. As a child she attended Catholic schools through high school. Pat moved to California to be with her brother’s family, where she helped with the young children. Later she and a girlfriend moved to Pleasanton.

She met and married George “PeeWee” DeCambra in the spring of 1949. George was a throughbred jockey and raced the California circuit. Pat and Pewee’s made their home in Pleasanton where PeeWee’s stable was based. Pat worked as a waitress throughout the years in café’s and restaurant’s along with raising their six children. Pat’s last working position before retiring was with Lucky Foods Headquarters as a cook and server in the cafeteria. Upon retiring Pat and PeeWee purchased a home in Silver Springs, NV.

Their middle daughter Theresa and her daughter resided with them. After some years they moved to Winchester, ID and shared property with their youngest daughter Christine. They later moved to Miles City, MT where their oldest daughter and youngest son Roseanne and George lived. They remained there until PeeWee’s passing in September of 2008. Pat returned to California and lived with her middle son David and his family. She returned to Miles City in 2014 and moved into the Eagle’s Manor until November of 2019 due to health reasons she moved into the Eastern Montana Veteran’s Home.

Pat enjoyed music and dancing. She was an avid reader and filled many crossword puzzles.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her six children; Roseanne Newby of Miles City, Donald DeCambra of Pleasanton, CA, David (Debra) DeCambra of Salida, CA, Theresa DeCambra of Silver Springs, NV, Geroge (Nancy) DeCambra of Fallon, MT, Christine DeCambra of Portland, OR and 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Thanks to the staff at the Eastern Montana Veteran’s Nursing Home for their care and friendship during Pat’s last year with us.
