Peru Lily Rising Sun Nah’kae “She Bear” was born on June 5, 2013 in Everett, Washington to Phillip Rising Sun Jr. and Darling Bulltail. Peru passed away at the age of 10 on September 16, 2023 due to cancer. Even though cancer took her away from this world, her loving heart, kind soul and warm hugs will always be remembered. She was a proud member of the Northern Cheyenne and Crow Tribes. She attended Chief Leschi from pre-K to fourth grade in Puyallup, Washington.
Peru is survived by her father, Phillip Rising Sun Jr.; mother, Darling Bulltail; Kalaa (grandma), Peggy Rising Sun; grandpa, Thomas Bulltail; great grandma, Jeanne Strangeowl; brothers, Phillip III, Devon, and Evan Rising Sun; sisters, Aspen, Loyalty, Freedom, and Kimberly Rising Sun; numerous aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, and cousins, too many to name.
Peru is preceded in death by her grandma, Pearlene Littleness; papa, Phillip Rising Sun Sr.
Also would like to thank Rebecca Powers, Rebecca Buffalo, Crystal Campbell, Judge Sabrina Athrens, Paula Fisher, and Dr. Johnson for all their help.
