Jim married Sue Vowel in 1988. Jim and Sue owned and operated the Lazy JD Bar & Café in Fallon for a number of years. Jim and Sue later divorced.
Along with occasional well drilling (keeping his license current and maintaining a membership with the Montana Water Well Drillers Association), he continued running his cattle, cutting and baling straw/hay and helping his brother, Bob, and anyone else who just needed a hand. He also enjoyed watching boxing and discussing upcoming matches and critiquing those that he watched.

I am sorry for your loss. This is a very hard time so keep those memories close to your heart. I bet my Mom is enjoying seeing him again and I am sure they are sharing a beer or two. Take care of yourselves. Val & Family

Jim was an original and there’s just no way around it. He was always ribbing his friends and tried to stir up “fun” trouble when he could. He had a great sense of humor, but willing to help whenever and whomever needed it. He was blessed like “Ket” in passing easily.

terry and I will miss him so much. He was a good friend and neighbor and made Terry feel welcome to have moved to Fallon. As a friend and neighbor, he would help anyone that needed help and give them the shirt off his back even if he needed it more.
Our prayers and thoughts,
Cyndi Thornton and Terry Followell
