“Aunt Mickey” has been an important figure in my life since my earliest memories. For my siblings and I (Don) our biggest excitement every year was to visit The Ranch and do all the things us city kids didn’t get to do at home. Visiting Aunt Mickey, Uncle Jim, and our cool cousins is one of my favorite childhood memories. Aunt Mickey was the one to teach me to like “cows” milk – the kind that didn’t come in a carton. We love her and will miss being able to call and speak with her. God Bless her and the loving family she leaves behond.

Thinking of all of you on the loss of your mom. It is one of the hardest parts of life. It is hard to lose them no matter how sick she has been. I have been praying for you and will continue to do so. May your memories of such a lovely person help you though this time.

“Mickey and Jim”. As a kid, back in the “40’s” the two names always seemed synonymous to me. Whenever we would head back to the Ashland country, whether it be for a the sadness of a funeral or the joy of some other celebration, Mickey and Jim were always there. And what made that particular duo even more special was that we were “connected” from two directions–through both the Moores and the Phillips. Through the years since then, we have continued to be occasionally blessed by Mickey’s immensely gracious and warm presence in our lives. She is the only “Mickey” I have ever known, and she will continue to stand out in my memory as that special person only she could be. I remember her with much fondness, and our love and condolences goes out to all of those who loved her the most.

My brother Don has said it all and said it well. Aunt Mickey and Uncle Jim have always held such a special place in my heart. As kids, visiting the ranch was the only vacation we were interested in and Mickey never disappointed. She was always so gracious and welcoming. As an adult, Aunt Mickey was such a comfort to me when my own mother died. I will miss her presence in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dave, Kathy, and families–My thoughts are with all of you as you gather together to share the memories of your mother’s passing. Losing a parent is never easy, no matter the age or circumstances. Grandpa Jim (my dad), has been gone 13 years this month; mom 14 years this October–and yet I still want to pick up the phone to tell them something that is happening in our lives. I know you will be surrounded by friends and family, but know that I will be thinking of you out here in Oregon as well. Take care.

Dear family and friends of Rose Marie Howard – My sincere condolences to your family. It is obvious according to the information listed above about Mrs. Howard that she was loved and her life touched many people. Please continue to be comforted by many beautiful memories of Mrs. Howard and Bible promises at this difficult time. Be assured that it was not a part of the Creator’s purpose that people suffer and die. Everything made by God was “very good” (Genesis 1:31) Death was introduced through Adam’s disobedience (Genesis 2:17). There will come a time when the dead are resurrected (John 5:28. 29). We are promised that death will be no more (Revelation 21:4). Meanwhile we have the opportunity to follow to continue to take in Bible knowledge which gives us comfort and hope (John 17:3).

My thoughts and prayers are with all the family of Mickey. I have many special memories of Mickey, she was the person who contacted me to see if I would be interested in applying for her job when she retired from Tongue River Electric. She was a great teacher and very thoughtful and gentle spirit in her training of myself for the position at TRECO. Through the years we had many wonderful conversations and I always thought of her as a special person. May all of your memories give you some comfort in the days ahead.

We were so sorry to hear that Micki passed away, she was an inspiration to us all!!!! It is so hard to loose a parent, but I find that My Mother is close to me, even a year after she passed, it is like she is still here, you will see this as time goes by, they don’t leave us, the memories are always just around the corner. Mickie was a wonderful lady and she helped Mom so much at Cottonwood, she never lost her sense of humor and was a positive influence on all around her.
