On the afternoon of July 19, 2014 our sweet angel Roseann Marie Fisher “ Voe’ameohtseva’e”, First Standing Woman, born March 30, 2000 started her journey to ‘Maheo the Creator’ after a short battle with a very rare form of cancer that is more prevalent in Native American children. Roseann’s Cheyenne namesake was her aunt Anya Fisher.
Roseann was a kind and shy soul whose smile will never be forgotten. She enjoyed listening to pop and Disney music, crafts, playing basketball, drawing a perfect picture. Roseann enjoyed sewing and made herself an outfit and participated in 4H Club and raised a black and white rabbit that later places 1st and received blue ribbons for both of her events. Her favorite color was pink, a color she often wore. Her favorite animal was a pig. Roseann’s favorite subject in school was science she spoke of attending the college in Helena or going to the military to become a nurse.
Throughout her illness, she handled it very courageously and never complained about what she was going through, specially her pain. She planned on donating blood after she was feeling better. She enjoyed helping others.
Roseann had a strong bond with all her foster parents: Rhonda Salois and daughters Kristy & Gwen, Sharon Bonilla, Kathy Sticka, Amy & Mike Bannovich and family. Her past foster parents were Amy Foote, Marilyn Mader, Rosebud Lodge staff, and Susan & Darrell Asbell. She was looking forward to going home to be with her sister Regina in Red Lodge.
The bond between her and her sister is beyond words. Her wish with the ‘Make a Wish Foundations’ was to go to Disney World with her sister.
Roseann is survived by her mother Toni Grace Fisher, (Victor Costa Jr); father Darius Bear Robe of Lame Deer. Her siblings, brothers: Noah Wilson, Drew Fisher & Jared Bear Robe; sister, Regina Fisher; maternal grandparents; Dudley Fisher & Drucella Killsnight (Ambrose); Godmother and Aunt Roseanne Headswift and Paternal grandmother, Lavina Blackwolf. Adopted grandmothers include the Northern Cheyenne Human Services, Title IV-E staff; Addie Baker, Eloise Whitewolf, Thomasine Woodenlegs, Mary Shoulderblade, Joyce Threefingers and Barbara Clubfoot.
The Fisher family and the Human Services staff would like to thank the Medical staff at the Billings Clinic and the Children’s Hospital in Colorado, Dr. Guiller for all they have done for Roseann. Allen Blackwolf, Sacred Hat Keeper for his traditional blessing on Roseann and Anthony Threefingers for taking time to help Roseann in a traditional Cheyenne blessing and giving her a medicine pouch. A big thank you for the Human Services staff, CPS workers, Eloise Whitwolf, Judy Littlecoyote and Rachel Woodenlegs and all the volunteers at the Denver Children’s Hospital for taking time to go sit with Roseann at the Denver Children’s Hospital.
The Fisher and Killsnight families are many, our apologies for not naming you in the obituary.

Janet Lassen says
RoseAnn touched many people in her short life time. We will always remember her quiet beauty.
Sandy Spang says
So many people this girl touched and made better. So many aching hearts. Remember what our Creator says about her future – about our future: “Isaiah 25:8 ” He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, For Jehovah himself has spoken it.”
John Robinson says
RoseAnn, I have known you since you was an infant, yet only laid eyes on you today for the first time when I saw your photograph. You were with us not nearly long enough, but maybe for a reason. You have brought our people together as no one before you in a very long time to share your life and your love, and now, by allowing us to grieve as a family that has lost someone special. I am happy that you are at peace and beyond suffering, but I am sad that such a beautiful gift to all of us whom you have touched has been taken away. Thank you for your time with us. Ne’a’ese.

My sincere condolences to the family of Roseann Marie Fisher – It was never the Creator’s purpose for mankind to suffer (Romans 5:12). May God give you peace through his promise to comfort us (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4). We are promised a time when no one will say “I am sick” (Isaiah 33:24). Cherish all the happy memories of your loved one and I hope that you are consoled by Bible assurances of a hopeful future including hope of everlasting life in paradise (John 17:3).

My thoughts and prayers go out to those of you who are among Rose’s friends and family. You are so lucky to have known this lovely soul for the 14 years she was on earth. I only knew Rose for the few months she was in Denver, and her bravery and her strong spirit touched me deeply. I’ll never forget her. There is a beautiful new angel looking over all of you, with sparking brown eyes, a shy smile and long, flowing hair. I’ll miss you, Rosie.

Carla Will says
My name is Mrs. Carla Will and I was Roseanne’s math teacher for a half year at the Intermediate School in Hardin while she was in the 5th grade. She worked so diligently and quietly on her work and smiled widely when she did well which for the most part was all the time. My heart ached when I opened the paper yesterday to see the obituary of her passing. Roseanne will always be carried in my memory bank of a beautiful girl who touched my heart. —— Regina, I am sorry about the loss of your sister. Hugs to you!
Lynette Myrstol says
