Roy L. Wagner, age 85, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, April 18, 2014, at Holy Rosary Health Care in Miles City, MT.
Roy was born on November 15, 1928 in Ashley, ND; the son of Reuben & Elsie (Strobel) Wagner. In 1930, Roy and his family moved to the McCone County area to farm and ranch. He grew up and attended country school until the 8th grade when his family needed his help on the farm. Roy worked with his parents until 1951 when he enlisted in the United States Army. Roy served in the Army until 1953 when he was honorably discharged; at which time he returned home again to the farm. On March 3, 1956, Roy married the love of his life, Mathilde Kron, in the EUB Church in Circle. In 1962, they moved to the family farm where they raised their four children, Deanna, Donald, Darryl and Arlen. Roy remained on the family farm his entire life up until a week ago when he was no longer able.
Roy was a hard worker, a true family man and a devout Christian who loved the Lord, attending church regularly and faithfully reading his Bible and serving on the church board in his younger years.
He is survived by his wife, Mathilde Wagner, of Circle, his one daughter, Deanna (Jon) Kliewer of Lustre, MT, his three sons, Donald (Cheryl) Wagner of Havre, MT, Darryl (Kari) Wagner of Billings, MT, and Arlen Wagner of Circle, six grandchildren, Matthew (Katie) Wagner, Megan (Ben) Buckridge, Whitney and Ethan Kliewer, Jena and Jordyn Wagner, one great grandchild, Elijah Buckridge, three sisters, Evelyn Kemp of Glasgow, MT, Esther Enkerud of Tampico, MT and Mary Pawlowski of Circle, MT.
