Selma Faye White Antelope passed away on May 7, 2014 in Billings, MT.
Selma was born on December 16, 1963 in Crow Agency, MT to Sally Medicine Elk and Arnold White Antelope. She was raised by her grandparents Regina and Eddie Foote Sr. in Ashland, living there with Ivene Hart and the Fox brothers.
Selma attended school and graduated from St. Labre School in 1982. While in school she enjoyed playing basketball, Volleyball, track and playing in the band. Selma married Frank Big Medicine and had two children, Ceta Big Medicine and Silas Big Medicine. She later had two girls with Chuck Russell. The girls are Luzina “Lou Lou” Russell and Taleah Russell. Selma was proud to be a grandmother. Selma loved to tease, and joke around with family and friends. She loved to travel around visiting family.
Selma enjoyed spending time & visiting with her friends. She worked at various places including Lodge Grass School and nursing homes in Billings. Selma was a member of the Catholic Church. She also respected the Cheyenne traditional ways.
She is survived by her daughters Ceta Big Medicine, Taleah Russell, and Luzenia Russel, sister Tashina Wilson of Billings, MT, aunts and uncles Joe (Lucinda) Fox, George (Verlene) Fox, Jimmy Fox, Richard Fox, Marvin Fox, Daniel (Judith) Foote, Hubert Bearchum, Adeline Fox, nephews David (Tommie Jo) Fox, Sidney Fox, nieces Jenny, Velinda (Jerry), Desi and LuAnna Fox, grandchildren, Dustyn, Andrea, Bailey, Cody, JoCinda, Devin, Valor, Chitat, Wanbli, Jerome, Raymond, Sheldon, Shelrae, Kamille, Zoeyann and Jerrico, her sisters Ivene Hart, Marcella Hart, Norma Jean Brady and Mary Grace Medicine Top, Bonnie Redbird, Regina Lynn, and grandmother Susie Cain. Our family is large so if we have missed someone we apologize.
Selma was preceded in death by her parents, her son Silas, grandson Baby Robert, her uncles Matthew Fox, David Paul Fox and Edward Fox, grandparents, Eddie Sr. and Regina Tall Whiteman Foote, Lucille Red Cloud, Joe Sr. and Winona Tangle Yellow Hair Fox.

Traditional Wake will be Sunday, May 11, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the St. Labre Catholic Mission. Funeral Services will be Monday, May 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the St. Labre Catholic Mission in Ashland.
