Anastasia Strom was born March 8, 1962, during a grand old blizzard. She passed away on December 14, 2014 at her home in Miles City. A loving and caring heart could no longer handle the rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, fibro myalgia and migraines.
Anastasia “Stacie” attended grade school at Mound, MN and Kinsey, MT, she graduated from Custer County High School. She was on the speech and drama team during school and won many trophies. Most of her life she worked as a card dealer and it was especially pleasing for her to be one of the selected few to deal aboard cruise ships.
Hurricaine Katrina came and left and when it left Anastasia was left with a few things in her car and what she was able to carry on her back. Afterwards she moved back to Miles City where she resided ever since. Her family at First Baptist Church became a true blessing to her.
Anastasia is survived by her parents, Keith (Celestine) Strom; grandmother, Muriel; brother, Rod (Vicky) Strom; nephews, Riley and Justin; one sister, Letha and son Erick; special friends, Starla and Bobby and numerous uncles and cousins. Preceeding her to the Lord was her mother Donna; grandmother, Thelma; grandfathers, Elmer, Joe and R. Thomas and uncle Damon.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Miles City. Should friends desire condolences can be made at www.stevensonandsons.com.

Stacie and I had so many wonder times. My memories of her are happy ones. She was my maid of honor in my wedding and believe me, maid of HONOR was appropriate. What an honor it was!! She will be remembered forever in my heart!!!!!!

I just received word of Stacie’s passing and was shocked and saddened to hear it. No words of sympathy, no matter how deeply felt, can help much right now, but I had to let you know that she will be sorely missed. My most sincere, deepest condolences to your family. My thought and prayers to you during this most difficult time. I always enjoyed Stacie’s humility. She was so kind, thought ful and considerate. I never heard a bad word spoked about anyone from her…what an example to emulate. She was a wonderful person.

Stacie and I met in third grade in Mrs. Ferris’ class and we were friends forever after. We went to school together, played softball, went swimming at Tammy’s swimming spot on the canal, had sleepovers and birthday celebrations, went to the drive in in her dad’s white van, and had so much fun. I was so sorry to hear of her death. My thoughts and prayer are with you all.

Dear Keith, Rod and Family-
I just found out about Stacy about an hour ago. It was a shock, as we were just visiting last month and it sounded like her health was getting better. I feel a profound sense of loss knowing that will be the last time we will ever get to visit in this realm-she was one of a kind with a heart as big and loving as could be.
Stacey was a good friend in High School. She was always smiling and full of fun and her eyes were always sparkling. We would never hang out without her making everyone around her smile and laugh and have a great time. Over the years we tried to stay in touch-we lived far apart-but it sounds like she had a lot of challenges over the years and she always handled them with Grace and Strength.
Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer. We pray the love of God enfolds you during your journey through grief.
