Susan Kay (Lewis) Browning passed away peacefully at home June 26, 2023.
Suzi was born March 1st, 1952, to John and Mary Lou Lewis in Cut Bank. She graduated from Cut Bank High School in 1970. She also attended MSU in Bozeman and Cottey in Nevada Missouri, receiving her degree in nursing. She was then employed at Glacier County Medical Center in Cut Bank. Then she moved to Billings to continue her career. It was here Suzi Lewis and Ted Browning married on May 27, 1997. After moving to the Browning family ranch, she went back to work at Glacier County Medical Center. She then finished the last years of her career at the Garfield County Medical Center in Jordan. Suzi was a nurse for a total of 30 years. After retirement she enjoyed her time on the ranch. Loving her animals and husband and spoiling them rotten.
Suzi enjoyed calling friends and family daily. She always had witty comments, including errors in grammar. She would definitely have something to say about how this is obituary was written. She loved exploring restaurants and coffee shops, eating and drinking the most unique items on the menu. She loved her friends and family, giving the most thoughtful cards and gifts to everyone. She will be missed terribly.
Survivors include her husband Ted Browning of Mosby; Kristen Brandon of Cut Bank, Karen Kraus of Billings, Mark (Joyce) Lewis of Cut Bank, Miles (Diana) Lewis of Cut Bank, nieces and nephews Katie (Scott) Anderson of Denver Colorado, Samantha (Noah) Pyle of Libby, Matt (Amanda) Lewis of Carrollton, Texas, Kyle (Katie) Lewis of Billings, Alyssa Kraus of Houston Texas, Chris (Chelsey) Lewis of Emigrant, Michael Kraus of Billings, Lanaia Lacock (and husband) of Hinsdale, and Megan Lewis of Cut Bank; and many great-neices and nephews.

Suzi was a fellow nurse and good friend for over forty years. She would babysit my boys when they were little, we would “do lunch” and shop together. We kept in touch when she moved away via phone, cards, and little gifts. She was indeed a blessing in my life! I will surely miss her, but i will see her again in Heaven.

Phyllis (Harne) Hagen says
I met Suzi about 1976 when she rented my basement apartment. One day, when Suzi and Jean McRae came home from shopping, they found my dog trying to get out my kitchen window and was hanging there and they rescued Freckles. When I was at work and Suzi was off she’d play with Freckles and when I got home she’d say, Freckles will be upstairs in a minute. The last time she worked at Glacier County Nursing Home, I worked the day shift and Suzi worked the night shift. She loved, spoiled and took good care of our Nursing Home residents. She will be missed and remembered by many people. She also joins those who she loves and misses.
