Thomas Andrew Guldborg, age 81, passed away February 6 at the McCone County Health Center, where he had resided since September 1, 2014.
Tom was born on March 31, 1936 in Glendive, Montana to Kneut and Alice (Harrington) Guldborg.
He attended grade school in Brockway and graduated from Circle High School in 1954. He was involved in basketball and football in high school. He was a member of the Wildcat football team that “finally beat Wolf Point,” and he reminded us of this on numerous occasions.
Tom married Linda Merriman on September 4, 1955 and to this union three children – Timothy, Gerald, and Susan were born.
Tom and Linda made their home on the Guldborg family farm near Brockway where Tom farmed with his two brothers, Robert and Kenneth. He took an active part in the Brockway community by serving on the school board and being involved in church activities. His greatest joy was working as a gate man at the World Famous Brockway Dairy Day Rodeo, a position he held for many years.
In 1972, Tom and Linda moved their family from Brockway to the Marvel Voegele farm where he worked for two years.
In 1974, they moved to the Merriman farm at Vida where Tom took over the farm and ranch. He loved being a cowboy and being able to ride his horses and mess with his herd. His heart never left Brockway, and he never adapted to having to pick rock in Vida. Declining health forced him to retire from farming in 2005 and ranching in 2008.
Tom was a member of the Vida Community Church, Al Bedoo Shrine, Masonic Lodge, and Order of Eastern Star. He was also a 4-H leader for ten years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers. He is survived by his wife Linda; sons Timothy (Ann) and Gerald (Jackie); daughter Susan; grandchildren Ally, Evan, Shyla, Angel, Calley, Linda, and Tanna; great-grandson Dayson; nephews Terry, Rick, Don and Dave Brown, Kurt and Kevin (Emily) Guldborg; niece Kari (Daryl) Wagner; grand-nieces Jena and Jordyn Wagner, Maya and Laney Guldborg, Laura Guldborg; and grand-nephew Conner Guldborg.
The Guldborg family would like to thank Patti Wittkopp, P.A. and the staff at the McCone County Health Center for providing excellent care to Tom while he was a resident there.

Dear Linda, Tim, Gerry and Susan,
I learned to like your husband and Dad while working at Cassco. He was never in a hurry and possessed a droll sense of humor. I am sad for you at your loss. Tom will not be forgotten. Marlin and I send our sympathies and prayers for YOU during this tough time. Love, Bonnie Reddig

Dear Linda,Susan,Tim and Gerry,
So sorry for your loss. I thought of all of you often and remember how much fun it was when Tom would come over to visit and have coffee with us at Vida. He was a nice guy but full of mischief. I know you will miss him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I think of Tom when I think of Eastern Star in Circle and am reminded of his commitment and labors to both Eastern Star and Masons. He was always so willing to work and help the organizations and always with a smile and a laugh. Hugs Linda to you and your family; may you find comfort in your many memories. God Bless,
