Tom passed away November 2nd, 2022, in the early morning hours. He had suffered from an unusual biliary disease for several months, he was transferred to St. Catherine’s Nursing Home in Fargo, ND, where he passed away. He was 70 years old.
Tom Hoffman was born in Portland, OR, on February 23rd, 1953, with his twin brother, George Neil Hoffman, to parents Thomas Glennon Hoffman and Madeline Velma Boyle.
Thomas enjoyed fishing, camping and family events. Tom is preceded in death by his parents and his brother George in 2014. Tom was well loved by all the staff at the four nursing homes he resided in after a debilitating stroke in 2014, that took his right side. He was a social butterfly and excelled in Bingo and Yahtzee. Tom was also a three-year veteran of the Army.
Thomas is survived by his older sister Wava Bridgman (Miles City); nieces Katherine Bargas (Frederick, MD), and Rachel Anne Earl (Watford City, ND). He will be missed by his remaining family, but we believe he is now with our lord Jesus Christ, with a perfect mind and body.
Thomas will be given a military graveside service on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022, at Eastern Montana State Veteran’s Cemetery in Miles City, MT at 2:00 p.m.

Gwen and Hoffman family. I am so sorry for the loss of Tom. I can’t begin to tell you of the many decades of pleasant memories that I was involved with Tom in the community and at work. God bless you in heaven Tom and I’m so sorry to see you leave us.

Tom, you will be so missed here at St. Catherine South. You were only with us a few months, but you stole our hearts quickly. You enjoyed memorizing the full name of each of the staff member, which was wildly impressive. Your love of music and Diet Coke is something we shared. You would often come to my office and we would “jam out” to some tunes. We will miss your smile and gentle spirit. Rest Easy, Tom. -Erica Shoults, Care Manager
