Trena Rilla Ridge Bear Walker, Evemeona’e “Making Trails Woman”, age 34, of Lame Deer passed away on March 29th, 2015 in Nebraska after a long and hard battle with an illness.
Trena was born to Elvis Ridge Bear and Terri Bridgman on April 24, 1980 in Lame Deer and raised by her special auntie Olene Ridge Bear-New.
She grew up in and attended the school in Lame Deer, MT. Trena Graduated from Lame deer High School. After she graduated, she had her first child, Maykala Jean, and then moved to Aurora, Nebraska. While in Nebraska, she met and married Ron Walker. To this union 3 children were born: Carrie Lynn, Briana May, and Paige Shashanna. Trena was a devoted mother who loved helping the people of her community. She was a very giving and caring woman.
Trena was a big supporter of the Morning Stars and especially loved playing Volleyball and Basketball. She loved participating in the Jingle Dress Indian Dance.
She was preceded in death by her Grandmothers: Rilla Tall Bull, Carrie Ridge Bear, and Juanita Parker; her grandpa’s John Bridgman, Clare Cranston and Frank Bearchum, Jr.; and brother Jeremy Ridgebear. Trena is survived by her parents; 4 daughters: Maykala, Carrie, Briana, and Paige; brothers: Joseph and Sidale Ridgebear, Todd, Wayne, Pete, Tim Roundstone; and many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends – you know who you are.
