Veneta Alice (Osborne) Jackson passed away on January 19 in Sheridan, WY at the age of 72. She was born to Reginald and Ruth (Logan) Osborne on January 9, 1943 in Spokane, WA. Neta grew up in Medical Lake, WA where she first discovered a lifelong passion for boating, water skiing, and swimming. She married Calvin Jackson of Rosebud, MT on April 30, 1960 in Oak Harbor, WA. From that point on, Neta dedicated most of her life to being a loving housewife and mother to her 8 children. Neta and Cal lived in many places in the western states following his construction jobs with Operating Engineers. Neta loved gardening, raising animals, being outdoors, and enjoying her kids and grandkids.
Neta is survived by 5 children, Reed (Teresa) of Sheridan, WY, Jeb (Cathy) of Rosebud, MT, Flint (Kathy) of Basin, MT, Bobbie (Mike) Hagan of Whitehall, MT, and Sim (Leann) of Miles City, MT and her sister Reggie Means of Post Falls, ID. Her grandchildren include Camie Kethman, Monica Gadade, Ryan Jackson and Kelly Lenart of Sheridan, WY, Cole, Jill, and Kendra Jackson of Basin, MT, Layne and Raelynn Hagan of Whitehall, MT, and grand children include Gavin Beyl of Miles City, MT as well as her nieces Shelly, Tina, and Jackie and nephew Terry. She is survived by 7 great grandchildren as well.
Neta is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Cal, son Mark, daughters Sandy, infant Barbara and an infant granddaughter Khloe.
A private memorial service will take place at a later date on the family ranch.
Mom (Grandma) will be dearly missed by her family but there is no doubt that this warm, pleasant natured woman has been gladly welcomed into Heaven where she has many loved ones waiting for her.
