Wayne Walksnice Jr. (Mesoke) went to be with Maheo on June 18,2019. Wayne was born on April 30, 1961 to Wayne Walksnce Sr. and Loretta Brady Bell. While growing up in Lame Deer, Wayne also spent time in Washington with a foster family (Casper).
Wayne had a son and Cordarell Whiteman. He later went to Missoula where he met and married Janell Hendricks. They had two daughters, Chandyll Walksnice and Cheyenne Walksnice. Wayne was proud to be a father to his children and spoke of them often.
Wayne enjoyed beadwork, jogging, listening to his music and honoring his Northern Cheyenne traditions. Wayne was proud and grateful to be overcoming his struggles and living a sober life.
Wayne is survived by his son, Cordarell Whiteman, daughter Cheyenne Walksnice, sister Wanda Littlelight, brother Edward Walksnice and many Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and extended family including Lilly Hendricks and “Auntie Dickie” Yvonne St. Dennis. Wayne’s family is large so if we have forgotten anyone we apologize.
Wayne is preceded in death by his daughter Chandyll Walksnice, mother Loretta Brady Bell, father Wayne Walksnice Sr., brothers Blake Walksnice, Tony Walksnice, Clyde Walksnice and sister Ruby Walksnice.
We would like to thank the Spokane Indian Center, Waynes Spokane LDS family, friend Deana and The Providence Holy Family Hospital. Also a special thank you to The Northern Cheyenne Tribe for all your help and support including those we spoke with for help with how to prepare for funeral services.

Wayne moved into our home as our “sibling” when he was 8. He was such a sweet boy with the cutest smile and an infectious laugh. We loved him and were so sad when he was no longer able to come back and live with us. It broke our mother’s heart to see him go. At some future time, we know we will meet him again.
To Cheyenne, the Walksnice family and Deanna, we pray that you will feel peace and comfort.
