Janet Klein says
To all of Wendi’s family: My heart is breaking for all of you with this sudden passing of such a wonderful young, vibrant, caring woman. I first encountered Wendi while I was in for a procedure at the hospital and I loved her from the first words out of her!! So compassionate and loving….made me feel like I was a special person in her world. Then, this past May, I got the privilege of making bridesmaid dresses for Heidi Hirsch and Curtis Obie’s wedding and Wendi was one of the bridesmaids! She actually was the only bridesmaid that lived close enough for me to “use” her for the final presentation of what Heidi wanted on the dresses. So cooperative and easy to work with…and we had “fun” doing the last minute changes that Heidi wanted! I just want all of you to know that the loss that you are feeling is being shared by many. My thoughts and prayers to all of you and most of all I want to give you the hugs that you all need at this time. Wendi is now a very special angel that is looking down on all of us with the beautiful smile that she had every time I saw her and she is nursing everyone who is in need in heaven….

To my loving cousin who will be missed by many, god has his plan i just don’t know what it is. I’m very upset, hurt and worried, you were so kind to everyone and always wore a smile on your face, helped many with your up beat attitude. I can still remember when you asked grandpa what it took to be a man? He replied (you have to say shit and damn a lot and spit! ) you must have done that for a year all the memories and the ones we still haven’t had yet hurt me the worst. I love you Wendy Jean Simpson, and always will, miss you forever

She was kind and caring and we talked about how her two little boys were growing up. I remember watching them at the fair and elsewhere, they were so cute! She said “they are still cute but they are not so small anymore.” She was so proud of them. Love and prayers are going your way…….

I do not have any words that can explain the sorrow and heavy heart I have for all who knew Wendi and for her family. Bubba, Koreena, Nathan and Jackson, your wife/mother was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. I do not understand why such a wonderful person who dedicated her life to help save others had to leave so early. My assumption is that God is getting overwhelmed and needs her help. If I were to choose anyone to help through God’s eyes, she would be the perfect candidate. Our love and prayers are with you all in giving you the strength for healing and comfort in this sudden and terrible time of need. We are here for you.
Penny Pulver Teeters says

Our hearts broke when we heard of Wendi’s passing. She was an awesome mama and I so enjoyed getting to know her when Jackson was in my classroom. I always enjoyed seeing her nearly every day as we passed each other on Horizon or Ponderosa and I will miss that! You have been and will continue to be in our prayers.
Janet and Tom Schmidt says
Don and family,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this difficult time, she sounds like a real special person who made a big difference in so many lives, remember that God needs her now. She will continue to take care of all of you, only this time she is doing it with God. Remember the good times, the laughs, the tears, those are things you will always have. God be with you and remember both of their arms are holding you all right now.

Keenan & Shannon Gjerde says
To each of you who loved Wendi, our deepest condolences. We only got to meet Wendi once, but her smile lit up the room. Talking to you over the years, we could always see/feel the love you had for your wife, Bubba. From reading what others have written, we can now see why. We don’t know why things like this happen, and there are never any words that can ease or take the pain away. We are here for you, even miles and miles away. We love you guys so much… We will continue to keep you in prayer, and will do whatever we can to help.
Joleanna Cannon says
