Billy Leonard Allmer, age 61, of Miles City passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings.
Billy was born on November 17, 1953 to Jacob and Freda Allmer. In July of 1981, he moved into HAFLA Group Home in Miles City and attended Eastern Montana Industries until his passing. While he was with Eastern Montana Industries, he gained a lifetime bond with his peers especially his special friend, whom is dear to his heart as well as his many caretakers.
Billy loved to collect colorful trinkets, bags, rings, remote control cars and furbies. He was very passionate about his fish and keeping it full of colorful fish. He really loved listening to music. HE enjoyed going for walks, out to eat, and out shopping for his trinkets that he enjoyed collection. He really enjoyed his coffee and creamer and his ice tea throughout the day. His favorite colors you would mostly see him in were either green or red. His highlight of his week was to hav e his special friend over on the weekends for visits and for dinner. He was very proud of his job he had at Eastern Montana Industries and pay day was the best day! He also enjoyed all the special events held at EMI such as the Halloween party, Christmas party, and summer picnic. He had a very good sense of humor and go along with mostly everyone he met. He was proud of his independents and that he was able to do most things himself.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Freda Allmer and a sister. He is survived by a sister and brother in Sidney, MT. He is also survived by a number of his peers, special friend and the caretakers who gave him great care throughout his life. Billy’s caretakers and peers would like to give a special thanks to all the medical providers and staff at Holy Rosary Health Care and St. Vincents.
Friends and family will gather on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home for a social time followed by a service at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Custer County Cemetery.

Getting to know Billy was one of the greatest experiences I have had in my life. He was a very soft hearted man and a joy to be around. The many talks we shared and his infectious laughter will remain in my memory for ever! You will be so very missed Billy! I will always think of you whenever I see a Furby!
